Does Nearly a Century, Make a Difference?

Eighty five years ago in 1939, the American far-right gave the Heil-Hitler sign at a rally at New York’s Madison Squre Garden in New York; and in 2024, Trump does one at the same locale, Madison Square Garden with the pomp, circumstance and coverage afforded by the digital age. But one thing that has stayed the same - both are equally reprehensible.

But where is the national outrage? Where is the outrage among children and family members of WWII veterans - those who served, fought, and died fighting against Hitler and his Nazi propaganda machine? And the service-members Trump referred to as losers and suckers… There is virtually no coverage of this on TV, or in the media.

It is shameful to say the least, that a candidate for the nation’s highest office, is a Nazi sympathizer, and his aficionados spend their time exalting a depraved lunatic and warmonger - someone who demonizes others and praises Hitler. Who engages in name-calling and causing division - referring to other Americans who disagree with him as “the enemy within,” should be a deal-breaker for anyone with any semblance of rational thought. Especially calling for a military execution of former Congresswoman Liz Cheney from Wyoming, because she helped investigate his actions as part of the January 6 Commission. A commission that found Trump incited and stoked the attempted coup to overthrow the US government, put his vice-president and legislators in peril, and overturn the will of the people electing Joe Biden as president. Lest we forget the visions of rioters storming the Capitol, zip-ties in hand, defacing and defecating on the seat of government, breaking-in, looting and scaling its walls?

Vitriol and Retribution

Trump is a man wholly incapable of promoting unity or mending disagreements as any rational presidential candidate should do. Instead, he is filled with grievance, vitriol, and hateful retribution, something the electorate should shun with a groundswell of support for his opponent, VP Harris. And of course by now, we all “should know” who Donald Trump really is - and if we haven’t learned that by now - shame on us.

Trump Claims “Only He Knows Best'“

Besides all of his disgusting rhetoric that he “knows more than the generals,” he has the audacity to claim that “only he knows best” how to protect American women. And he will make “decisions” for them “whether they like it or not.” That only he knows how to “take care” of them - is wholly laughable. A man found liable for sexual abuse, a guy who recorded by Access Hollywood, saying he can grab women by their private parts without their consent. And for some unfathomable reason, he thinks he can tell women how to run their bodies…
