Abortion Bans & 'Right to Life' - What is the Real Reason for these Draconian Rules?
Could the Real Purpose & Motivation Behind "Pro Life" Movement - be More Sinister than We Think?
I have been contemplating the rationale behind Republican-led legislatures that pronouncement of being “pro life” - yet all their actions outside of abortion, are antithetical to that pronouncement - appearing “anti-life” to those of us who are watching. To quell my curiosity, I decided to take a closer look at the issues addressed - and to identify those that are not.
Proliferation of Assault Weapons, Pro Life?
The proliferation of assault weapons is certainly not a “pro life” stance, especially when schools have repeatedly been the target of unbridled violence and hate aimed at the nation’s most vulnerable - young children. Yet, despite all the young lives lost by the use of assault weapons, only a handful of states have instituted assault weapon bans; those that do, acting as parens patriae (state acting as guardian) are at least trying to mitigate the loss of life - trying to keep the children within the confines of state borders as safe as they can. But as we all see, this is an uphill battle, where Second Amendment enthusiasts scream the loudest. “Don’t take away our guns” - which is an unstated preference that clearly prioritizes guns over kids.
Corporations Pollute & Devastate Environment with Impunity
Then there are other assaults on our kids - where polluters let rivers and streams flow unabated with pollutants from their money-centric endeavors. We have seen the devastating results, where rivers and streams in Appalachia are allowed to run freely with pollutants caused by mountaintop mining; and fracking in others. Where corporations put profits over people, and once again kids - polluting the air and waterways - toxifying aquifers and drinking water consumed by pregnant women and their children. All of this occurs frequently, with devastating health and developmental consequences for both mother and child. Where pesticides are marketed and approved with known neurotoxins designed to kill pests - but are equally toxic to animals, the environment and humans. Where court cases have exploded with glyphosate litigation - the main chemical ingredient in the “Roundup” herbicide used on crops and in gardens - proved in court case after case to cause non-hodgkin’s lymphoma (cancer) in humans. (Note: This herbicide is used on GMO (genetically modified) crops that are made resistant, to withstand the herbicide; it is also used by home gardeners and industry as a desiccant, sprayed on all conventional crops to dry them and make them easier to harvest. But according to the FDA, all of this is still okay….)
Abortion Bans, a Red-Herring?
So when it comes to abortion, I can only come to one conclusion - that state and federal government and agencies don’t seem to care when living breathing children are shot, or poisoned by toxins in their food, water or air - but somehow these legislators claim to “care” about human life when it comes to abortion. Because of their track record, this claim of being ‘right to life’ appears disingenuous at best. Which makes me conclude this feigned outrage is just a red-herring, so no one uncovers the true motive - which ostensibly is for profit.
The Profit Motive
Assault weapons are legal because they create huge profits for gun makers and retailers involved. There are profits to coal mining and oil extraction - but not if you have to clean up. When Trump was president, deregulation was the order of the day - rolling back more than 100 environmental rules that were in place to protect people and the environment: the air, water, wildlife from toxic chemicals. Under Trump: corporations could pollute with impunity. Is it no wonder he rails against electric vehicles - most likely there is less profit for him and his cronies to be made, and less opportunity to pillage the earth and environment to sell its wares. As we know without issue, Trump is all about the almighty dollar what he can glean, pillage, plunder or steal.
How can There be Profit from Abortion Bans?
I submit the reasons for these draconian abortion bans are more insidious than anyone may think. Birthrate statistics show the American population (data revealed in 2023), has decreased to a new low over the last hundred years. To this end, I believe there is a concerted effort on the “right” to prevent abortions in order to rekindle the American workforce, to ease labor shortages, create future indentured workers to boost funding for government through payroll taxes, its war-machine programs, and maybe even social security. Unwanted children can become wards of the state, placed in internment camps until they reach the age of majority, allowing the state to extract free labor, and groom them to be obedient workers, for military service, and citizens of an authoritarian state.
Besides that incentive to extract free labor while indoctrinating the kids with fealty to the government cause and to whoever is in charge, at the same time they would be boosting the adoption industry - an industry that has not seen a boost since the American population has been in decline. For those who don’t know, adoption in America is big business. Most American adoption agencies are poised to charge per child between $30k to $60k two years ago in 2022. Having more unwed mothers having children who don’t wish to claim them, has a two-fold benefit for those in charge. Improving the dwindling American workforce that will be poised to ease the labor shortage, and helping an industry get back on its feet. Training a captured workforce to meet and obey the demands of those in power, as well as the elite.
Is There a War on Women, or is there Something Far More Insidious?
So there are myriad reasons why it appears the “Right” has a War on Women - that women’s own reproductive decision-making capabilities are being curtailed. And the motive that appears most commonsense seeing the track record on the right with the environment and guns - is a motive for profit.
Rationing Off Unwanted Children
Will the government start rationing off unwanted children to takers for a fee? Or will they put them in government funded labor camps for grooming: military servitude or industrial training? To contemplate the answer, we must always ask, who will benefit from abridging the rights of women, and imposing draconian rules of forced childbirth: corporations, government, military? The benefit does not appear to be for the women who bear them, or the children themselves. So then who?
Now that Florida women have a six week abortion ban, and a referendum around the corner - maybe this baby manufacturing scheme can at least be put on idle for now. Because family planning should never be the decision of men in black robes, or men in stodgy legislative chambers, those beholding to corporations, or the military industrial complex - it should remain between a woman and her doctor. That’s where it was for the last fifty years with Roe, that’s where it should have stayed - and that's where it should be once again.
